UK LOCKDOWN: what it means for us

Update: What the Government's Roadmap means for us

Project 'The Comeback' is well under way at Essex Vocal Coaching. We're cautiously optimistic about the Governments roadmap and are now planning our return to face to face lessons, with the following provisional timeline:

w/c 12th April: classes and 1:1 coaching will resume in person, for Children and Young People in full-time education, with COVID secure measures in place

w/c 17th May: 1:1 coaching and some classes for adults, with COVID secure measures in place, including the rule of 6

We will continue to review and publish any changes to this as they become available, but for now are looking forward to a return in April

Here we go again!

But at least we know the drill this time. Lockdown 3 for us, means exactly the same as Lockdown 1 & 2: everything will take place on Zoom.

Our student communities have been absolutely wonderful this year: they have all embraced their coaching online and many of them have learnt new skills, particularly in technology. We continue to feel very lucky to be part of an industry where coaching online is normal practise - the facility already existed pre-COVID and is how touring artists check in with their vocal coach when they're on the road. Coaching with us is currently the same experience as being a rock star … enjoy!
