Drop the Mic! is our FREE monthly event for young people interested in music. We’re welcoming Young Musicians, Vocal Artists, Rappers, Bands and other music enthusiasts from Southend and the surrounding area’s to get involved and join our music community. Each event includes the opportunity to take part in our open mic, meet others who share an interest in music and to meet music artists to pick up hints and tips about working in music.

The monthly open mic is an opportunity for music performers to showcase new writing, covers, learn new skills and to test your musicianship in front of an extremely welcoming live audience.

We welcome soloists and bands, and will provide; full acoustic drum kit, keys, mics, PA. We can supply instruments such as guitars and bass,for the event - simply let us know ahead of the event by completing the form below.

Shadowing our experienced coaches, we also welcome those interested in behind the scenes skills such as live sound, photography and event management.

Registration for all performers: 1pm-1:45pm

Performances 2 - 5pm.

 

Drop the Question!

New for 2024: an opportunity to meet professional music artists and ask them your questions on their career, how they got into music, what a typical week looks like and hear other hints and tips about todays industry.

This months guest artist: Megan Rose - a Music artist, well known across the local area. Since the age of 16 she has been writing, recording and performing Country Music. Megan released her debut EP ‘Brave This’ in September 2018 reaching number 6 in the Apple Country Album Charts.
