Thank-you to The City of London Beadles' Guild

In amongst our busiest summer yet, Olly and Flo found some time to visit a coffee morning in aid of The Song School, where Flo played her songs for the fundraisers and Olly was presented with a cheque with a donation of £500 from The City of London Beadles’ Guild - by this years Chairman, Keith Marsh.

The donation will be added to The Song School Fund and will pay for the class fees for two young people from low-income families to join a music class of their choice at The Song School for a full year, ensuring they can access the same level of music coaching as their more fortunate peers.

Of the donation, our founder Louisa Strachan says: “Donations like this one are vital to the work we are doing to level access to music education for all children and young people. Outside of Schools, Young people from low-income backgrounds miss out on these kinds of communities, not only because of financial barriers, but also through fear of not fitting in. These kinds of donations ensure we can continue our work to build communities of young people from all backgrounds so all feel ownership of their community. Huge thank-you to The City of London Beadles’ Guild for their contribution. This will make two young people’s year as they benefit from not only learning music, but also joining The Song School community and thriving!”
