We’re offering a limited number of 1:1 recording sessions this half term. The sessions are open to anyone who is interested in recording, whether you want to sing your favourite pop songs; write your own music and want to start to understand what it takes to get it recorded, are in musical theatre and want to start creating content for your showreel, or you simply like to sing and want to experience studio life. Suitable for ages 10+.
Students will spend two hours in their own recording session, at our custom recording studio, learning;
how to prepare to record
microphone technique and set up for different instruments
learn the differences between singing live and singing for recording
learn how to work effectively with your sound engineer
how to lead in your recording session
Students will be in very good hands with our in-house sound engineer Billy, and if you’re singing, one of our vocal coaches will be on hand to warm you up and help you ease into your session so you can relax into your best performance.
Songs can be covers or originals; we will speak to you ahead of the session to talk about your requirements. Students will leave with a professional audio recording of up to two songs (mp3).
The cost to take part in the workshop is £120 per person Children from low-income families are welcome to apply for support for the full cost, via our student bursary programme (click here for more info)
